The Primordial Era

The age before creation. Before Earth, before human memory, before anything that could be called a world. The era recorded in the Divine Library — the universe's account of its own violent beginning.

Overview

The Primordial Era is the first age of the Aethereal Stories universe — the era before any of the others were possible. It encompasses the existence of Infinity before the events that shaped it, the collision between Aetherius and Pandemonius that forged existence, the rise and fall of Asgard as the first great civilisation, and the descent of primordial beings to Earth at the dawn of human history.

It is the era of the Aethereal Chronicles — the imprint that shelves the books recording these events in The Divine Library. The events of the Primordial Era are the foundation on which every subsequent Era rests. Every force active in the Mortal Era and the Modern Era has its origin here.

The Chronicler

The Primordial Era is recorded by Metatron — the celestial scribe, the keeper of the divine record. Where the Mortal Era is chronicled by Ariaste, and the Modern Era is carried forward by Robert Knight, Metatron holds the first record — the account of events that predate any other witness.

The First War

The collision between Aetherius and Pandemonius — the conflict from which the universe itself was forged. The first and greatest war. Transcribed by Metatron in verse.

The Age of Asgard

The rise and fall of the first great civilisation. Asgard governed the first empire of the cosmos before human history began. Its fall released the forces that would shape every Era to follow.

The Descent

The period between the end of the last ice age and 0AD, when primordial beings — Olympians, Titans, the Kemet pantheon, Nephilim, Fallen Angels — descended to Earth. The event that became every human mythology.
