Pandemonius is one of the two equal halves of Infinity — the totality of existence. Where Aetherius embodies creation, Pandemonius embodies destruction. Together they form the self-balancing duality on which the stability of Infinity depends.
Also known as the Void and as primordial chaos, Pandemonius is not evil in any moral sense — destruction is no more a judgment than creation. It is one of two irreducible forces, and Pandemonius is the dimension through which that force flows and finds its form.
Pandemonius is a living worldspace — not sentient, not willed, but alive in the same way that Infinity itself is alive: a responsive ecosystem, breathing, present, and ancient beyond any measurement.
Pandemonius is the source of destructive magic. As with creative magic, destructive magic is a category of force rather than a moral classification. Its nature, costs, and manifestations are recorded elsewhere in The Archive.
The inhabitants of Earth have no native access to destructive magic — humans exist outside the light/dark binary entirely and cannot tap into either dimension's power on their own.
Pandemonius and Aetherius are equal and opposite halves of Infinity. Neither dominates the other. The balance between them is not maintained by force or intention — it is the natural state of a system in which both are necessary. Destroy one and the other becomes meaningless; they define each other.
Dimensional travel between the two is generally impossible. The sole exceptions are beings of specific origin whose identities and nature are recorded in classified sections of The Archive.
